As a natural completion of the fully robotized dyeing plants, we had to develop the software for managing our shuttles, our overhead cranes and all our automatic machines by means of a PC normally located in the office. This software, that is called VisualDye Handling, allows to see graphically on the monitor the situation of the robotised plant, including the actual position of the shuttle and with the type of material loaded in every dyeing machine, press, centrifuge, dryer and storage areas. At the same time the person in charge can send instruction to the shuttle, change priorities to certain machines and verify the status of a particular batch. In addition, the software stores in the hard disk the complete map of all the positions with their status every few seconds for safe recovery in case of power cut and for further investigation when necessary.
